All day long, 24/7, we make declarative statements. Before we voice any statement externally, we declare the thought to ourselves internally. We believe it first, and then we say it.
So in it most distilled form, who we are is what we say. Statements form internally, in our minds.
But are you actually aware of what you are saying? Because how you think and speak directly influences both how you see the world and people perceive you. Wayne Dyer states, “As you think so shall you be.” Put another way, What you say you create.
As Lao Tzu puts it:
“Watch your thoughts; they become words.
Watch your words; they become actions.
Watch your actions; they become habit.
Watch your habits; they become character.
Watch your character; it becomes your destiny.”
There may be some things in your inner-dialogue that you are afraid of voicing even to yourself. Think about the questions that are the loudest and most significant in your life right now. This may be hard, so I’ll go first:
• How do I love myself more?
• What do I do to make things easier?
• How do I help more people?
Since everything we want to manifest begins in thought form, consider these 5 questions:
1. How do you want to say it?
2. Do you choose achievable goals or only easy things?
3. Are you able to easily articulate your intentions?
4. Can you keep your word?
5. Can you commit to your intention 100%?
Focusing on what you intend to manifest is really only the first step. In order to stoke the manifestation fire, you must tell others as well. A great way to get stronger at manifesting is to practice positive declarations that embody who we really are. For instance:
• I choose
• I lead
• I give
• I provide
• I allow
Or try practicing the Metta Meditation (lovingkindness):
May I be happy
May I be healthy
May I be peaceful
May I be free from suffering
Of course, this can be difficult at first, but it does get easier. More than anything, making your declarative statements more purposeful helps us end the habit of saying what we don’t want. Today, challenge yourself to really say what you want to manifest. Remember: there is power in knowing what you want and saying it. Practice now: I will ________ I am ________ I create ________
Love yourself, love your day, love your life!
