Complaint Free Diet

We have no more right to put our discordant states of mind into the lives of those around us and rob them of their sunshine and brightness than we have to enter their houses and steal their silverware. – Julia Moss Seton When we complain we draw negative things to us because we’re putting out negative energy. Therefore one of the most important healthy habits we can learn is not to complain. Strip your mental diet of complaining and see for yourself the difference it makes! What is a Complaint? Do you adore yourself?

Your Daily #HappinessRx: Please bring your palms together in namaste and with an inward focus toward our own hearts breath deeply. As you close your eyes you turn into the darkness to see that inner light within the untouched place known as maja. It is a place unblemished by sadness or meanness or anger. It is the seat of wisdom known as our spiritual heart. The yogis believe that each of us replicates the world at large, embodying “rivers, seas, mountains, fields…stars and planets…the sun and moon” (Shiva Samhita, II.1-3). The outer sun, they asserted, is in reality a token of our own “inner sun,” which corresponds to our subtle, or spiritual, heart. So, when we practice Surya Namaskar, which is a humble adoration of the insight of the self…

THE NEW DREAM, HEAVEN ON EARTH

You can be loving all the time. This is our own choice. Even there is no reason to love, you can choice love because to love makes you really really very happy. Love in action only produce happiness. Love will give you inner peace. It changes perception of everything. You can see everything with the eyes of love. You can be aware of that there is love all around you. When you live this way, there is no longer a fog in your mind. This way of life is possible, and it’s in your hands. With love you can create your own heaven on earth. – Don Miguel Ruiz How can you practice love today? Sending someone a kind note? Thinking kind thoughts? Or observing nature’s simple beauty?

Why I’m Quitting (and You Should, Too)

“Don’t settle. Don’t finish crappy books. If you don’t like the menu, leave the restaurant. If you’re not on the right path, get off it.” – Chris Brogan I was raised with the immigrant mentality of work harder—and then work much harder—and above all else never quit. I associated shame with quitting, and quitting with being ashamed. But while you certainly aren’t going to get A’s and B’s by quitting, or get into the college of your dreams by quitting, or let alone land your dream job—is it possible that you could live your happiest life by selective quitting? What if we aren’t quitting enough—and not the other way around? Maybe instead of reading articles titled “Why You Should Stay in Your Job” or “How to Know If You Should…

Creating Your Mission Statement

INTENTION AS A MISSION STATEMENT The word for Intention in Sanskrit is Sankalpa.  Ask yourself, “What happiness are you manifesting? Are you living a life you love?” And in order to realize our greatest potential, to manifest our biggest dreams we have to take charge of our I AM statements answering this question:  Who Am I? This is the foundation of successful intention setting. INTENTION SETTING  “Our intention creates our reality.” – Wayne Dyer “The thing always happens that you really believe in; and the belief in a thing makes it happen.” – Frank Lloyd Wright “Intention is the core of all conscious life.
Conscious intention colors and moves everything.” – Master Hsing Yun When you break down the process of what true intention really is, you will find a…

Growth is Uneven by Design

Written by Silvia Mordini Feeling the #newmoon in Taurus in #Bali. Lovingly embracing growth in ways that will be sustainable physically and emotionally. Allowing for growth to be uneven so I remain gentle with my heart. Throughout my life the spiritual truth that has resonated with me was one of unevenness, the concept that we do not grow at the same rate in all areas of our lives. Our growth is uneven by design. Take your life and visually divide it into four major sectors: finances, work, health and relationships. Which piece dominates your daily existence? I share Anais Nin’s belief that: “We do not grow absolutely, chronologically. We grow sometimes in one dimension, and not in another, unevenly. We grow partially. We are relative. We are mature in one…

The Practice of Ho’oponopono

Begin by simply repeating the four phrases together: I’m sorry. Please forgive me. Thank you. I love you. I’m sorry. Please forgive me. Thank you. I love you. Repeat them as you walk, as you drive, as you go about your daily tasks. Let them become the default state of mind for you, replacing the random rambling of your ordinary thoughts. Play with them over the span of a month; make the mantra your grand obsession. Watch how it opens you and frees you as you put it into play. “I’m Sorry. Please Forgive Me.” If your goal is to focus on the positive—on those things that produce satisfaction, meaning, serenity, and joy—and you notice that you have been lost in replaying an argument you had with someone, or that…
