Give Yourself A New Kind Of Time Out

We all need to take a time out. Every single one of us. A retreat is just that, a retreat from the daily grind in order to get clear on what you like about your life and what could be working better, or realizing those things you’ve outgrown. And some retreats include way more than just yoga such as life coaching exercises where you’ll learn practical tools to apply to your life right away while others include off the mat fun like surfing, kayaking, hiking and more.

A Yoga Retreat is the perfect time in a beautiful place to do this mental detox.Just like we have to clean out our closets now and again (whether we want to or not) we need to take time to mentally declutter as well.It is important to devote time to de-cluttering. Clutter in the mind is stress. When we remove the clutter from our lives, we increase clarity regarding the life we are meant to live. The foundation of our life is based in the quality of the questions we ask ourselves.

Don’t wait. Do it for you.

Just like when we were kids , we all benefit from taking time-outs. There is nothing enviable about depriving oneself of all your free time. This is why I wholeheartedly believe in the healing power that comes from stepping off the daily treadmill and retreating. I know how sacred your vacation time is as a means to rejuvenate and recharge. Choose a Yoga Retreat to reset.

We all need to take a time-out now and again.

To be honest, it’s not the length of the stress break (there are single day through multi-week retreat options out there). The simple fact that you’ve pressed the pause button is what enables you to achieve the most healing. You deserve time to reboot from the daily pressures of life. Get away from the fatigue of your schedule by going on a wellness retreat.

You know how at the end of every yoga class we practice the most important pose, Savasana. Well, a retreat is a personal “business savasana” where you put your work aside and just rest. Planning mini life savasana’s year-round is essential for living healthy, joyful lives.

Walter Mosley writes,

“Every day we wake up is a good day. Every breath that we take is filled with hope for a better day, Every word that we speak is a chance to change what is bad into something good.”  If you are waking up dreading the day, worried about the hours ahead of you and already wishing you could be done with it and back in bed, well, that’s a problem.  The first thing we grasp upon awakening shouldn’t be our blackberry or i-Device, it should be the most positive thought that guides our dharma. This singular thought, since our conscious brain can only hold one at a time, inspires the quality of the rest of our day through sheer enthusiasm.  And yoga teaches us that what you spend the energy of your thoughts focused upon grows bigger.

Going on a Yoga Retreat gives you the chance to change your Happiness set point. Some key ways that contribute to this include:

  • You’ll get a lot of sleep, the sleep you really need
  • You’ll eat live, organic, healthy food 3 times per day
  • You’ll exercise through yoga and other activities depending on which retreat you choose
  • You’ll laugh a lot with new friends
  • You’ll greatly reduce the amount of time you’re plugged into technology
  • You’ll remember what’s important in your life

From the support you receive on retreat you will get back to the ritual of celebration. Your everyday practice while on retreat of looking for the good, being with great people, facilitated by incredible guides will restore your sense of internal happiness and external enthusiasm.

Now is the perfect time to plan your Spring Break or Summer Vacation and studies prove the longer in advance you commit to time off the greater the endorphin benefit to you.

Make time for loving self-care. Retreat today.

Do it for you as a way of celebrating your life and go home and never again wake-up with anything less than excitement to live the best day ever.

Love yourself, love your day, love your life!
